March 15, 2021 – 8×8 announced a service that allows companies to integrate their 8×8 contact center with Microsoft Teams. 8×8 becomes the fourth vendor certified by Microsoft for such an integration (others are Anywhere365, ComputerTalk, and Enghouse Interactive). Companies that use 8×8 for contact center services or at-large employee communications use any of their Teams endpoints for customer interaction.
Functionally, this means companies can accept incoming contact center calls in Teams; gain insights with reporting and analytics on call quality, performance, and call history; use 8×8 call recording for compliance; integrate with third-party CRM and other apps; operate worldwide with calling plans in 42 countries.
