UCaaS (Unified Communications-as-a-Service) adoption is rapidly growing. But several pathways to the cloud exist: Many organizations continue to operate hybrid environments that include a mix of UCaaS and on-premises platforms, while others are taking advantage of “Bring Your Own Carrier” capabilities to leverage their own session border controllers and SIP trunking services for PSTN connectivity via Microsoft Teams Direct Routing or similar offerings from other UCaaS providers. In supporting these new models, IT leaders must ensure that they are able to provide reliable, secure, and high-quality application performance to both in-office and remote workers.
Success requires proactively addressing performance and security management, in both the office and in the home, to ensure high quality, and highly available, voice communications.
