What's the news?

On April 9, 2026, Anthropic announced that its Claude Cowork AI personal assistant is now generally available. This announcement included several new security and management capabilities, such as role-based access controls, spending controls, usage analytics, and expanded support for OpenTelemetry to share information about Claude’s activities with third-party security information and event management (SIEM) tools.

In conjunction with Anthropic’s announcement, Zoom introduced a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Claude, enabling Claude users to access information, such as meeting transcripts and summaries, from Zoom. Zoom also announced a plugin for Claude Code to enable developers to access Zoom data directly within their development environments.

Anthropic offers Claude Cowork in a freemium model or in individual paid plans starting at $17 per user, per month with an annual agreement. Team and Enterprise plans start at $20 per month, per user, also based on an annual commitment and a minimum number of seats. The Zoom MCP server is available through Claude’s connector directory. Zoom does not charge extra for its MCP server or plug-in, and both are generally available now.
