MetriNote – Mitel Launches Multi-Meeting Capabilities

What's the news?

August 1, 2023 – Mitel has announced multi-meeting launch capabilities as part of its MiCollab 9.1 SP1 update. This allows MiCollab users to see a list of upcoming meetings across multiple meeting apps, and to launch Microsoft Teams, RingCentral, Zoom, or Mitel’s own video meetings directly from within the MiCollab application. Administrators have control over what meeting apps are made available to users. The new capabilities also allow for the launch of customized video applications (e.g. telehealth) from within MiCollab. MiCollab 9.1 SP1 includes additional updates including network health visibility during softphone calls, the ability to establish a direct VOIP connection between endpoints, new accessibility capabilities, and the ability to send and receive SMS messages from within the MiCollab app.
