Summary

Author: Beth Schultz, VP of Research and Principal Analyst

What's the news?

On Feb. 18, 2026, Salesforce announced that it has entered into a formal agreement to purchase Momentum, a conversational intelligence and revenue orchestration platform. This move is designed to bolster Salesforce’s Agentforce 360 agentic AI platform and Slackbot personal AI agent by enabling them to tap into unstructured data from external voice and video applications like Google Meet and Zoom—integrated via Momentum’s universal ingestion engine—and build contextual understanding. The aim is to then turn insights gleaned from such conversational interactions into actionable, multistep workflows, Salesforce said in announcing the acquisition. Salesforce expects to close the transaction during FY27 Q1, ending April 30, 2026.
