What's the news?
August 26, 2025 – Twilio has released its previously announced Rich Communication Services (RCS) messaging for general availability globally (see Metrigy’s previous MetriNote). RCS, which enables companies to send branded, rich media messages, is available through Twilio's Programmable Messaging and Verify APIs. The upgrade to RCS is available to existing Twilio customers with no code changes. RCS, along with SMS, is available to new Twilio platform customers through a single integration.
