What's the news?

On Sept. 9, 2026, Microsoft launched Dynamics 365 Activate in public preview to speed enterprise migrations from Salesforce CRM to Dynamics 365, with support for enterprise resource planning coming later in the year. The AI-powered tool scans legacy Salesforce environments—analyzing data models, business workflows, custom entities, and system dependencies—to determine what needs to move, where problems might crop up, and how to prepare for the transition to eliminate technical debt rather than recreating historical complexity.

Dynamics 365 Activate will support three implementation paths:

  • Start new – Creates solutions for new business models and operational requirements
  • Move from a known source – Uses AI to analyze legacy data, customizations, and dependencies before migrating
  • Grow what exists – Extends current Dynamics 365 environments into new regions or business units without repeating discovery
