Author: Irwin Lazar, President and Principal Analyst

What's the news?

On June 24, 2026, Zoom and its subsidiary BrightHire announced a new deepfake detection capability in live candidate interviews on Zoom to reduce hiring fraud. The approach uses a variety of signals, such as participant location, tab switching, and detection of AI-generated content, to provide interviewers with a post-call deepfake risk report. Deepfake detection is available now in early access to existing BrightHire customers.
