NiCE, Genesys, Cisco, Five9, AWS, 8×8 Metrigy’s 2026 CCaaS MetriRank Leaders

Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) is the fastest-growing contact center platform option, delivering cost-effective services with sophisticated product features. Metrigy’s Customer Experience MetriCast 2026 global market size and forecast study of 1,437 companies finds that 33% of research participants are using contact center as a service (CCaaS). By comparison 32% are using on-premised contact center platforms and 36% are using dedicated, cloud hosted platforms. The global market for CCaaS was $8.4 billion in 2025, up 16% year over year. Metrigy forecasts the market to grow at an 9.8% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2025 to 2030, reaching $13.3 billion by 2030.

Although more than 50 companies operate globally in the CCaaS space, market share is the No. 1 factor for inclusion in the CCaaS MetriRank. Criteria such as financial strength, market share momentum, and customer sentiment are significant at setting providers apart in the rankings. Having the right mix of features and capabilities is critical, although most of the top-tier providers share common capabilities today. AI continues to be the most important product development area for CCaaS.

We’ve grouped the scores into three categories – foundation, customer, and market – and mapped providers based on the three scoring categories results in three segments in which to view the top CCaaS providers:

  • Leaders – These providers have high customer and foundation (product mix and financials) scoring. While some naturally may lean higher in one area over another; these are core areas of strength that make them leaders. In this report, NiCE, Cisco, Genesys, Five9, AWS, and 8×8 are the CCaaS leaders. NiCE has the strongest customer score while Cisco has the strongest foundation score. The rest have strong and balanced scores. 8×8 stands out as the smallest CCaaS provider in the leaders, achieving the position largely because of outstanding customer scores.
  • Challengers – These providers are doing well and just miss the leadership segment, making them a competitive threat. This group of providers tends to be smaller in terms of market score, which has an impact on a variety of factors that ultimately contributes to stronger foundation and customer scores. Twilio, Talkdesk, Content Guru, Sprinklr, and Vonage comprise the group of CCaaS challengers. Twilio is a standout within the group of challengers as the provider with the strongest customer score.
  • Performers – These tend to be smaller providers but deserve attention for having high enough market share to be included in the CCaaS MetriRank. They are not to be counted out, often having strength in areas that allow them to be nimble and focused on product and/or GTM strategy. Dialpad is the sole UCaaS provider in the performer segment this year.

Genesys has strong brand recognition and an installed base of on-premises platforms to market to. The provider is all-in with CCaaS; it has been phasing out its on-premises products since 2023.
